Description
Stylized wall calendar with a wax seal suspended on strings. Dimensions: width 30 cm x 90 cm. The form of the binding is based on the traditional way of hanging wall publications on wooden rods, but we have used our own modification. The upper and lower sleeves containing the supporting rods are connected with decorative metal rivets. It is printed on decorative paper, similar in texture and properties to the handmade papers used in the old days. An additional characteristic element of the publication are the ragged edges of the sheet, which stylistically refer to old incunabula affected by the ravages of time. As in all our wall publications, the paper is coated on both sides with a refining, matte laminate, which strengthens it, protects it from moisture and dust. Additionally, this treatment makes the calendar similar to original parchment. The whole thing resembles the scrolls of Roman scriptures. Author’s cover of Pergamena Publishing House with a decorative string for hanging. Calendar – Poem “The Polish Child’s Catechism”
