In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence (1776–2026)
On the 250th Anniversary of the Signing of the United States Declaration of Independence (1776–2026), we honor and recall the shared heritage of the ideals of freedom that have united two nations – the American and the Polish.
From the spirit of the American Declaration also grew the Polish Constitution of May 3, 1791 – the first in Europe and the second in the world – expressing the same faith in reason, law, and civic liberty. Both documents are milestones in the history of the free world. They are joined by the desire for a just order in which the nation is sovereign and the law serves as the shield of freedom. The common heroes of both nations – Tadeusz Kościuszko and Casimir Pulaski – sons of Poland and citizens of the world, defended liberty in both their homelands.
These reprints are presented to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence, as a symbol of the brotherhood of nations and the enduring bond between Poland and the United States of America.
